Michiel Korthals started his carreer at Wageningen University in 1993. He studied philosophy, sociology, german and antroplogy at the University of Amsterdam and the Karl Ruprecht Universität in Heidelberg. After his PhD thesis about the Frankfurter Schule (1985) he studied the moral and social development of children and societies. At Wageningen University his courses and research are focussed on ethical issues about environment, animals, food and agriculture.
